Boys at Play

Milan made a go-cart after reading one of Nan's books.
Hugo loves getting in to other people's shoes - here he is looking a bit like Puss in Boots

Trip to Noosa

Huge lizards in the Botanical Gardens, Brisbane.

Fish and Chips for dinner, Noosa.

The boys loved the crocodiles at Australia Zoo. This one was was quite friendly and even let Milan sit inside his mouth.

First Day of Kindergarten

Milan off to Kindergarten for the first time. A few tears when Mummy left (and a few tears from Mummy too!)

A Floury Mess

Fleet and Hugo got into the flour - who knew that dogs like the taste of flour?

I'm a Big Boy Now

Hugo finally fits into the jolly jumper. He's still a bit wobbly but enjoyed it for five minutes.

Bath Time

While the house has been renovated we've been relying on bottled gas - unfortunately it runs out with great regularity and no warning! This means cold showers for the adults - but what to do with the boys. Melynee solved the problem this day by giving Milan a bath in the sink with hot water from the jug. Judging by the smile I think he thoroughly enjoyed himself!

Hugo Aged 3 Months

Hugo aged 3 months. He's still a smiley wee fellow. Latest developmental tricks involve giggling and squirming around on his back. He moves about 90degrees so he's probably not too far off rolling.

Visiting Old Nana

Every few weeks we go and visit Nana Eggleton (one of Milan and Hugo's Great Nanas - they're lucky enough to have four great nana's and one great grandad!) The great grandkids call her 'Old Nana' and Milan especially enjoys going to visit as she has a ready supply of Round Wine biscuits. Nana saw Hugo when he was only 3 hours old as she was in hospital at the same time.

Fatty

Hugo continues to grow fatter and fatter. He's not much longer, just rounder!

Autumn Leaves

Milan has really enjoyed playing in the leaves that are falling outside the house. Once a week the council comes and blows them into big piles so on this day Milan had fun leaping into the piles. He had his rake out and was 'helping' too.

Two Brothers

Hugo is really starting to notice Milan now. He recognises his voice and will look around to see where he is. Milan is still completely infatuated with Hugo. When he wakes up in the morning he'll often say 'see Hugo.' He's just starting to be a bit more gentle around him - content now with holding his hand rather than whacking him on the head!

Animals

Milan loves animals - here he is at the zoo and the museum getting close and personal with some inanimate ones.

Hugging and Kissing

Milan is genuinely infatuated with Hugo. He wants to hug and kiss him at every opportunity. Poor little Hugo has already had two colds because Milan slobbers him whenever he gets a chance.
Hugo is nearly 3 months old in these photos. If he's not asleep he's smiling.

Fun outside with Melynee

Melynee is our fantastic Au Pair from California. Milan and Hugo just love her. Milan can't quite say her name right - it comes out 'Melynlyneeee.'
I was so happy to have Fleet back home. It took Milan a few days to get used to having a big dog around but now he's realised that he's quite fun to play with - there is a big tail to pull and a wet nose to poke.

My Aeroplane Hat

Milan has got a huge chunk of his Grandad Gibson's genes (wish he had some more of his Nan Gibson's genes and ate his veggies!) He loves aeroplanes and helicopters. Here he is wearing his 'Aeroplane hat.' He wore it once on the plane down to New Plymouth and now it is reserved for trips to the airport (we take a drive out there every so often to show him the planes taking off and landing.)

Lunch at the Zoo

One of Milan's favourite outings is the Auckland Zoo. Here he is pretending to eat lunch. Food and Milan don't mix well - especially if it is called a fruit or a vegetable (must take after his father.)

Milan and Hugo; aged 1 and a half months.

This was the first time we let Milan loose holding Hugo. Hugo looks none too impressed about it - probably because Milan felt the need to kiss him every ten seconds.

Pulling Faces

If you want to get Milan to smile you say 'show your teeth!' The result is usually something like this - although not always with the marmite smears!
